Mohamed Bahgat Ibrahim Elghonimy

Biography

Dr. Mohamed Bahgat Elghonimy, a dual citizen of Canada and Egypt, graduated with a Degree of Honours from Ain-Shams University School of Medicine in Cairo in 1996. He finished his Master degree (M,Ch) in 2000, and his MD Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in 2006 with sub-specialization in Hip arthroplasty and Sports Medicine. Dr. Mohamed also holds an academic degree as a Lecturer of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Ain-Shams University, and he has multiple international publications. He also worked in many hospitals and medical facilities in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Canada. Before Joining SEHA, he worked at Burjeel Royal Al-Ain, Mediclinic Al Nour Al-Ain, Main Burjeel Abu Dhabi, Burjeel Day Surgery Centre, NMC MBZ hospital and NMC Royal Al-Shahama. His areas of expertise include; • Sports injuries, Knee and Shoulder arthroscopy and open surgery. • Hip Arthroplasty. • Close and open reduction and internal fixation of various fractures. • Management of common orthopaedic diseases. • Wrist, Hand, ankle and foot common trauma injuries and diseases. • Management of common spine injuries and diseases.
